I live in the north west of England, in a small village surrounded
by some really beautiful countryside. Now that our family has grown
up, my husband and I have a lot more time to spend together. We
garden and go for long walks through the fields with our Cairn
Terrier dog, Toby, and travel as often as we can both in England and
abroad.
Other hobbies I enjoy are reading, going to the cinema and theatre,
or simply sitting around the table after a good dinner and talking
to friends.
Now let me tell you how I came to start writing for Harlequin Mills & Boon. I am a Chartered Librarian and worked for many years in research. After the birth of my son, I took a part time job in a public library where I discovered Mills & Boon Romance novels. I had never read any romance novels until then but I was immediately hooked on the genre. The more books I read, the more I wanted to try writing one myself.
The result was FINAL SCORE published in September 1988. I then went on to write a further twenty books for the Presents and Tender series and might have continued writing for them if I hadn't "discovered" Medical Romances when I was browsing through the bookshelves in my local supermarket one day. I was instantly captivated by these fast-paced stories. The blend of modern medicine with a heart-warming romance is an unbeatable combination. I was so taken with the series, in fact, that I decided to try writing a Medical RomanceĀ of my own and in 1998 TAKE ONE BACHELOR was published.
I have since written a further forty Medical RomancesĀ for Harlequin bringing the total number of books I've written to a staggering sixty-plus! However, no matter how many books I write, there are many more stories in my head just waiting to be told.

I have a brand new addition to my family, a precious little granddaughter called Isobel. Here are a couple of snaps taken by her doting granny!
